Our Story

Evergreen Peaks Sawmill Services & Custom Work, established in 2020, is a family business run by Alain & Laureen Houle. Located in Vegreville, AB, we offer portable bandsaw wood milling services all over the region. In addition to milling lumber for our clients’ varied home and building projects, we also hold a passion to create beautiful, functional wood pieces for commerical, home and garden spaces. Years ago, Alain, a former powerline technician saw ‘gold’ in old utility poles stacked in farmers fields, and began to build the ideas that his wife Laureen dreamed up. This love of wood and a desire to repurpose it has grown and developed into the ‘custom works’ aspect of our unique little business.
